I Woke Up Like This... ENGAGED! And Goodbye, Velma!

When we came back from Duluth we had two days left with Velma before she went back home. We went gallivanting around the city. I enjoyed showing off my ring in every single picture. If you've got it, flaunt it, right?

Totally forgot Harry had to work. We visited him there.

Wax Art!

For Christmas, Harry's mom, Kathy, created wax paintings for each kid. It's Encaustic painting to be exact. It amazes me all the details she put in Harry's painting, but when you wax it some of the details go missing. Take the tea bags for example- in the before they are there but then where did they go? Harry works in the Operating Room, so his mom put in part of a surgical mask and a spine. Harry is from Kenya. Kenya is famous for tea so there are a lot of tea farms in her painting. He also loves tea ie the tea packets. The exit signs are to remind Harry of where he's been. His mom is talented. I am wowed by her artwork. I am proud to display it in our home.

Before.
After.

All the kid's art.

Minnehaha Falls!

Harry and I ventured out to Minnehaha Falls.

Minnehaha Falls is a memorable spot for us. It's where we had our first date and first picnic together. It's where we had our first photo taken as a couple. Up on the rocks, is where Harry told me he really really liked me and then he kissed my hand.

Minnehaha Falls is beautiful in the summer, but I'm memorized by how it looks in the winter. There is striking beauty in ice.

Harry's pondering stepping on the ice. #daredevil

Enjoying winter together.

Rushing water, foam, ice, snow... Beautiful!

ICE!

Perfection.
