Snowmen

I teach ECFE and in my classes I read Lois Ehlert's book, "Snowballs." Our activity for the day was to make a snowman, snowbaby, snowdog, etc out of "good stuff" like wrappers, pom-poms, popcorn, and buttons. Here are a few examples:

Students were asked to bring supplies from home but I had some out just in case.

Thanksgiving 2015!

This year, I am especially thankful for my sister.

I'm also crazy thankful for the great guy I have a date with tomorrow. UPDATE: We went on two great dates before he dropped a bombshell and yeah, that'll be a no go. :-(

I am teaching ECFE and I have my very own classroom! I had so much fun decorating and getting ready for a new school year. Cheers to a great year!

Rock Climbing

I went rock climbing at Vertical Endeavors on Wednesday. WHOA! I knew I was out of shape but rock climbing showed me just how out of shape I actually am. It was a fun night out and I made it up to the top (along with ripping my favorite leggings in the crotch area) but I don't think I'll be taking up rock climbing as a hobby or routine exercise any time soon.

This is good enough, right?

I DID IT!! Now, we can leave and get FroYo!

Recreating My Favorite Photo

My future classroom is going to be focused on reading. I really don't want a "Jungle" or "Owl" theme I just want my students to read, read, read and learn to love it! My favorite picture of my cat, Biebs was taken on Instagram and I would love to blow it up but it would get too blurry. I tried recreating my favorite picture but this time, I used Children's Literature (my favorite). The pictures are alright. Maybe they'll be better in black and white. The ones of Maci and her wonky face crack me up!
