Cove Point Lodge

When we were up north for our honeymoon we stayed at Cove Point Lodge. When we first got there I found a wet towel in the shower so their cleanliness standards were definitely not the same as mine. The hot tub appeared to be a bit better so that's what I used. Thank God for options! The view of Lake Superior from our room however... that was spectacular! And there was a path that led to a bunch of rock you could climb and that's our jam. That was my favorite part! We spent many hours there climbing and watching the waves. It was wonderful!

Our room! We had the honeymoon suite.
Harry thought this wine was $20 turns out it was $42.
This was right before Harry almost dropped me into Lake Superior.
This is my favorite photo of Harry.

American VS. British English

Harry and I watched English Parents VS American Parents on our good friends Facebook page a few months ago and we were cracking up. It was spot on. It reminded us so much of us minus the whole baby thing because we haven't reached that phase of life yet. We've also watched Michael M making fun of American English years ago. Both of these videos prompted us to start making a list of the different words in our relationship. For those who don't know, Harry is from Kenya and I am from the Land of 10,000 Lakes so we have been in these situations numerous times before.

Split Rock Lighthouse!

We made it to Split Rock! Harry is already looking forward to coming back in the fall!

These are the horns that produced a two second blast that could be heard five miles away!

Split Rock was Harry's favorite part of the trip!

Harry ran these. I almost died with all the other wives and mothers.

Captains House!

The inside was seriously my dream house!!!

And now photos of the beautiful scenery at Split Rock...

You can't tell in the pictures but there are two buoys by the cliff out there showing where the Madeira drifted towards shore.

Of course, Harry had to show off and run up these steps!
